Dr. Nestor has been a practicing small animal veterinarian for over 25 years in the Erie area. She mainly focuses her time on rehabilitation work at Balance which is a new aspect of the veterinary profession ! She loves combining a special interest in orthopedics and soft tissue injury with the many various presentations of disease to try and help dogs and cats thrive. She graduated with a B.S. in Biology from Gannon University 1992 and Michigan State College of Veterinary medicine 1996. While attending continuing education seminars, she stumbled on the idea of physical medicine and pursued the education to become certified in rehabilitation from a veterinary accredited program in 2011. During that time she also become certified in Acupuncture as well. She has interest in canine extracapsular knee repair which she also performs at this center. In her free time she loves to be outside hiking, biking, and spending time with her family. She is working on continuous custom rehab programs for all of her different patients, including fitness and conditioning for athletic dogs, senior dog plans, and let’s not forget postoperative patients.
